Next Act Pub in Edmonton

The hamburgers are juicy, greasy and delicious. Over the years they have adapted and have a veggie burger as well, with avocado and other great things. It can get a bit noisy on the weekends, but the booths are far enough away from each other so you can still hear your party across the table.

The servers are always very nice and the food is always good. I've had a few things off the menu and they are always good. Would definitely recommend anyone to try this place!

Great for Gluten Free! Great menu, with lots of gluten free options. Our server was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Best hamburgers hands down!

Definitely a burger first restaurant. A little less enthused by their other offerings. The restaurant itself is also just a little... cold?Breakfast Poutine was quite pricey and disappointing in quantity and flavour. Had similar feelings about their regular poutine. The burgers however, are fantastic! Juicy patty, fresh ingredients, and unique flavour offerings (e.g. PB&J burger). Definitely one of the better burgs in the city I'd say.

I really can not stress enough that Jack Sticks are on the menu here! They are Jack Sticks with parm dip and a salsa that is made by burning tomatoes and peppers under a broiler. If you, like me urnes for the Earls Jack Sticks of our youth that were discontinued in like 2004 (save for that short return during the anniversary a couple years back) this will satisfy you.

I am very happy with the knowledge and care our service. Next act has done an amazing job carrying out safe protocol between their servers and patrons. Their training really shows and their staff are there to take care of you and guarantee a good experience.

A warm and well liked local pub. An interesting selection of drinks from ciders to craft beers and mixed cocktails. Their menu is a regularly updated set of innovative specials with some classic tried and true favorites.

One of my favorite restaurants in Edmonton! Great selection of beer on tap and the food is amazing (cajun wings app is a must try!). Staff are incredibly courteous and take care of you while you are there. A must try!

I love this place as much I love their food and drink menu! I can’t remember how many times I have visited this place. The atmosphere is laid back that makes the experience enjoyable! I enjoy eating their burgers - do creative and tasty! The drink menu is full of variety plus the rotating tabs are amazing - great beer options to choose. I enjoy the patio as well as the inside. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Very loud people in a small place. Food was pretty good but the service was the highlight. Practically no parking as every place on and or near Whyte ave. The restaurant next door called Meat sure smelled good as you walk by.

"Come in good, leave better" says it all. They have award winning burgers, award winning fries and a beer list to match. Hands down, best pub in Edmonton.

Believe it or not! It was 2014. Left Germany for a working holiday visa and stayed 6 months. Summer came and we watched the Worldcup. Got hungry. Friends from Mexico took me to this place and I’ve ate the best burger in my life. Came back to Germany, traveled all over. Not in NY, Amsterdam or somewhere else have I eaten a better burger. Still dreaming of this and telling everybody I know how good this place is. Sounds exaggerated? Not for me. Will come back in 2021 for sure, just for the Burger!

Amazing service, even better food! My server Melanie gave the best customer service I have experienced in a while, so friendly, easy-going and actually looked like she enjoyed to be there.. which is pretty rare. My brother and I had just come from el Cortez to try and go for taco Tuesday.. ended up having to leave because of the very terrible service we got from a waitress. But the evening was very much redeemed with Melanie’s outstanding service and the delicious food! 10/10 would recommend to anybody, looking to receive excellent customer service and absolutely delicious food

Always great food and service. The Mac N Cheese is the best in the city, and the burgers are great too. Staff if top notch as well. It a busy place so arrive early or expect a wait, but worth it.

Visited with a friend and hands down was one of the best burgers I've had in a long while. Fries were great too! Service was excellent and everyone who worked there that helped us was super friendly and very kind. Would definitely go back!

Great spot. The food preparation is obviously undertaken with a lot of care and pride. Everything has the fight balance of flavor and the pricing is very reasonable. Suggestion, try the nachos, you wont be disappointed. Staff are courteous and knowledgeable. It's clear they have good retention as the attitudes are spot on every visit. Highly recommend.

I am gluten free and the fish amd chips are to die for!!!! The portions are good. The waitress was friendly and very helpful in regards to answering my questions and if there was any other menu options that could be made gluten free. Would eat here again.

I had a fantastic experience at The Next Act! It was a busy Saturday night when I entered- the whole place was packed. Fortunately, they found me a seat at the bar right away. I recieved excellent service courtesy of Janell. She was prompt with each part of my meal and was attentive to everyone at the counter (including a man and his wife who had very many questions about their beer selection). All of the food was hot and had great taste! The dessert was funky. I had a skillet cookie with raspberry ice cream. That alone I think was worth the walk in -30. I hope to be back soon to the same outstanding level of hospitality!

The best burger joint in Edmonton, hands down! No matter what you get there, it'll be amazing! I highly recommend substituting the fries for a house salad (that stuff is what dreams are made of!). It does get very busy later at night so beware. Service is fast and friendly.

This restaurant/pub was amazing! Great location and service. The food was spectacular and reasonably priced.I personally did not enjoy the housemade fries however my partner enjoyed them.Overall great food.

Alberta has the best beef, ever and I absolutely love my burgers charred! Friend/co worker mentioned this place and so my husband and I had to come after work today. First time and it's delicious 😋

I go here quite often with my partner. The staff is very friendly and this restaurant is almost always busy (which is a good sign). It’s perfect for if you want to grab a quick bite, or if you want to sit and chat a little longer. They have a wide selection of beers (including craft beers) and ciders. They are known for their burgers, they are all delicious. They have options for vegetarians and welcome all demographics of people. They promote local artists through their posters, paintings, etc. My personal favourite menu item is their Dill Pickle chicken wings! Sounds kinda weird but they are a nice tangy salty treat! (Shown below)

Awesome place for a burger and pint. Came for Canada Day and got the Cameo burger. So many items from Canada and it went so well. Excellent atmosphere and fun time. Can't go wrong where the motto on the wall is "come in good. Leave Better."

The next act is always amazing. Great food. Best burger in town by far, and a really wide selection of beer and wine. The wait staff is knowledgeable and super friendly. Bottom line The Next Act is one that I always recommend when people are looking for new places.

Fantastic food! Been here twice and both times have been just fantasticService is fast! From sit down to order the food landed on our table in no more than 10 minutes (table if 2)Everything tasted very fresh! The salad lettuce was crisp and had full berries/ grapes in itI had the feature burger which rotates and this time it was a fish burger. Thin batter crispy and not greasy it was good enough I would have loved a second but filling enough it wasn’t needed. Side of poutine, fries were fresh and the gravely very flavourful. Definitely a great stop to stop for good, quick food with friendly staff

I loved the vibe and friendliness of this place. The food was absolutely amazing - my favourite pub food to date. The prices were also fair. Highly recommended a visit to everyone!

Fantastic burger, my friend had the bison, I had the beef. Amazing fries, fantastic dip. Despite being just off of Whyte Ave, it was super easy to find parking. Staff was super accommodating and answered all of our questions - and they were quick with the water refills.

Peanut butter and jam burger. That's all you need to know. Great spot just off Whyte. Their other food is good too. Have been several times and will keep going back. It gets busy so get there earlier or expect to wait.

Delicious food. Great service. Perfectly set up for effective social distancing and follow AHS protocol religiously. Great to eat out at a place that keeps one feeling safe during these crazy Covid times!

What's left to say about the Next Act?It's an Edmonton institution regarding burgers and beers. The portions are large, the flavor and quality is very good, and the atmosphere is just your classic, all-American diner.Rotating beers keep the choices interesting and the service staff has always been welcoming and happy to suggest recommendations.Even the house salad was so good, I didn't miss the usual mountain of fries I can get.

The PB&J is the Best Burger in the city. I now can't eat any burger without peanut butter. Also their beer selection is on point!

Great food, great service. Smoked chicken sandwich, the best!!

This was my first visit here and it was very busy but I can see why. The wait wasn't as long as I thought given the number of people waiting though. I had the smoked chicken sandwich and it was outstanding! It had Brie and a delicious cranberry jalapeno chutney. It was a great flavor combo. My wife had a burger and she really loved it as well. The service was really friendly and fast too! We will definitely be back!

Coming from BC, I think that the Next Act has the best burger I have ever tried. Beer selection is great, and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. Skip brunch here though, I personally think there are better places.

Busy but definitely worth the wait. Staff is always friendly and chill even with the amount of traffic at this place. The food is always phenomenal.

It was yummy! The food is decently priced and comparable to other places on Whyte Avenue.
